Territorial Acknowledgement
The Saanich Heritage Foundation recognizes the diverse cultural history of the District of Saanich which is located on the the territories of the lək ̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ. The lək ̓ʷəŋən are represented by the Songhees and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) Nations. The W̱SÁNEĆ are represented by the BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁ,UTW̱ (Tsawout), W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), W̱SÍḴEM (Tseycum), and MÁLEXEŁ (Malahat) Nations.
